Dear Attie,
What is expected of the hospital in return for the $50,000 "gift?" I know
that there is no such thing as a gift of this kind without some payback. Is
it just a commitment to use that brand, or are there other pieces to this
payback?
Just curious.

Subject: Formula contract is almost up
Our Foemula contract is almost finished with M****J****. We do not give out
gift pcks or free formula but our administration still really likes the
extra $50,000 they get as educational funding. I don't think I can get rid
of this contract but I would like to give it a darn good and professional try.
Any suggestions as to where to begin. I think that letter writing with very
up to date data might be a start. I am also prepared to make a presentation
to the committee that is to be formed in the ver, very near future. I need
to know how other hospitals did without this educational funding. I don't
think that the lack of free formula is the biggest obstacle.
