In the BAB and WAB, LLLI recommends the following progression of solid foods:
1. Ripe banana, avocado, yam or sweet potato as first foods
2. Meat
3. Whole-grain breads and cereals (so sugar added, cooked with water) "Baby
cereals do not have as much food value as freshly cooked whole-grain cereals,
because they are highly processed" p.147 WAB
4. Fresh Fruits
5. Vegetables
6. Dairy products after a year, with the exception of cottage cheese, yogurt
and natural cheese which may be introduced at 9-10 months.
