I never even tried suggesting weaning at two, but when my daughter was
getting close to 4 years old and still happily nursing, I told her that
maybe she could stop when she turned four. The night before her birthday,
she had a long nurse and said it would be the last time. Then when she woke
up in the morning, she happily announced: "Guess what! I changed my mind!"
and went right back to nursing for another seven months!

(She's 19 now and in her second year of university - why does it all go by
so fast??)
