A recent poster in discussing the possibility of home visits by peer
councilors stated:

<< We were told we couldn't see moms outside of the WIC Centers
 because as "under contract" volunteers, we aren't covered by
 Liability Insurance like the nurses the health dept. sends out. >>

    Could someone please explain this?  What would liability insurance cover?
Has anybody connected with BF education/support/counciling ever been sued?
If so, what for?
