Dear Lactnetters:
I have a friend and client with a 10 month old baby. She has a rectocele
and a prolapsed uterus. Her OB/GYN told her to stop BF and "everthing will
tighten up". She is to start taking vaginal estrogen cream. It's enough of a
prolapse that she can feel it, has pain, and with a mirror, can even see it.
Is it true that stopping BF will let things tighten up enough? They tell
her that she's too young for the surgery, but will estrogen really fix this?
Is BF the exacerbating variable?
Please let me know what you think. THANKS!
