Hello,
Initially, when I started out as a hospital-based l.c., I found that I
had to do most of the consultations with mothers directly, teaching them
at the classes (pre-and post-natally). Nowadays, after 7 years, the
nursing staff has taken over the classes and difficult cases are then
referred to me. I concentrated more on teaching the medical and
postgraduate medical students and doing more research. These were the
change in the nature of my work as each year brings its challenges. I
hope that answers your questions.
