Our local hospital is currently planning a CLC training for staff nurses and anyone else who is interested. I think it's great to have SOME type of training in proper breastfeeding management, even though it does not qualify someone as a Lactation Consultant. I don't think these nurses are planning to sell themselves as Lactation Consultants after receiving this training, but merely have a sincere desire to increase their breastfeeding management knowledge and skills. The moms and babies they serve will benefit, regardless of the letters after their names.

How does CLC compare to CLE??
