Hi All,
Just a quick question...
Have a client who does not want to take drugs (epidural, etc) during her
labor, but she has "very intense and painful labors". She was wondering if
it would be harmful to the baby for her to smoke "just a tiny bit" of
mariajuana (one or two puffs) just to take the edge off the pain. I know, I
know...none at all (ever) is best. She has not used pot for years, but
after doing some research into what medical drugs do to infants (and after
having probs with BF her last child who was an epi-baby) she does not want
to use them again. I suggested to her a very good Bradley class, or class
that teaches how to really work with your body during labor, but she is not
convinced.
Please send your comments or thoughts on this to me at [log in to unmask] , as I
am no-mail right now.
TIA!
Jay
PS The house buying thing is very interesting! The sellers are in breach
of contract right now for not having had the pest inspection done within 5
days of acceptance (we are on day 11 after acceptance), and we have found
some problems that are kinda big, but not big enough to sway us from
buying...yet... Will let you know how things pan out!
