Hi Jack and everyone,

Radio opaque contrast medias used for CT etc are usually iodine based.

In radiography, it is routine to queriy about allergies,
hayfever, and especially shellfish sensitivities. Very occassionally
patients are precluded from having contrast injections because of these.

I was wondering if the iodine would be passed through the milk,
it usually excreted through urine- within a short period of time.

Could this be an issue for breastfed infants?

Cheers
