Stephanie,
The mom you describe sounds very needy. Is she coming to your LLL meetings?
Does she have a network of family and friends who support her? Has she
recently moved to the area and feels isolated? It's difficult sometimes not
to be sucked into the needed role of mom's new best (breast) friend. Maybe
there are some other moms who would be willing to get together with her and
just be supportive of her during this post partum period. I wouldn't be too
quick to rule out PPD, though I don't feel qualified to make that
determination. Good luck to you both!
