Susan.... Having just had an extremely frustrating day after nurses on
other shifts gave bottles of ABM to a baby I had spent a lot of time
with yesterday>grrr<, I will try to  use some of that energy to respond
to you.  I suggest you offer to update or develop a breastfeeding
education booklet to be given(with other teaching materials) to all Moms
after delivery .  New teaching materials are usually appreciated by
managers, esp. if they are referenced.

Is someone on your Unit designated as the Staff Development person?
maybe she would appreciate your input on an up-coming inservice or
Skills Fair for all nursing staff.

Hang in there.... lots of us struggle daily with the same sorts of
ignorance and resistance to change!
