Barbara and all,
It has been my experience that the hydrogel has worked well for teeth bites
on nipples and fissures that are not invaded by yeast. If I suspect a yeast
component I will not use it. I had one client whos nipples got worse when
she used the hydrogel dressing, she had a bad fissure invaded with yeast.
One problem seems to be that the only way to hold the dressing in place is
with bras and many times breast pads which keep the affected area very
moist and dark. Not a good way to elimate yeast cells.
I have been using samples from a medical company and second skin which you
can by at any pharm. I will definately pay more attention to brand name
after reading Alisons post.
