A 29yr G1P1 new mom of a 35 week baby used the electric pump to express her
first milk. She expressed 2-3 oz. of extremely serosanguinous liquid from
both breasts. It appeared very watery with dark blood in it. It looked like
coffee ground emesis. There was no tenderness or pain on expression. The
nipples appeared normal, no evidence of cracking and no masses palpable. Hand
expression produced the same results. Has anyone had this experience? What
was going on?You can e-mail me your responses
