I am american (USA) and I too would like to know what town, state and
country a person is writing from. For several reasons. One, are they
close to me? Two, as much as you may like to believe otherwise, the USA is
not all the same. Things are very different, say in Boulder, Colorado than
in Valdosta, Georgia. I had my first child on an American Indian
Reservation-very different from my experience in a small Georgia town.
