If there is a published article in a profession's recognized journal, on
the use of an adapted piece of equipment, would this then become a standard
of practice? The LC would then not have liability issues to deter her/his
use of the adapted equipment?
Another question: when being creative with equipment, how does one go
about doing so without the concerns about product liability? I apologize
if I sound nitpicky about this, but again legalities are always a major
issue in CA.
