I started thinking about this yesterday. Recently got a piece of mail
for my daughter and son in law from the EMT/Paramedic Registry, and
noticed they advertised small lapel pins, window stickers, etc. My
husband - a PA, has similar opportunities. I love wearing buttons,
shirts, etc, but was thinking I would like to have something small, neat
looking that I could wear on suits, dresses, etc that identified me as an
IBCLC. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing being considered? I assume
it would come out of either ILCA or IBLCE. But then I guess a logo would
have to be designed, etc.
Good luck to those who are sitting for the exam. I remember the nerves,
I barely slept the night before. I was so nervous when the results came
that I had my husband open the envelope!
Katherine Catone, IBCLC
