I would say that if the parents made an issue of it, the nurse would
be up the creek.  And we know the truth, don't we?  Health
professionals are very good at intimidation, and so the mother may
agree that the baby be given something, but not really know why.  So
both are telling the truth.  But it was not informed consent.
