This isn't very scientific, just my experience with a high protein diet
while breastfeeding.
Annie was around 8 weeks old when dh and I decided to reduce our amble
girth.
Scarsdale beckoned and we enthusiastically began to diet and lose weight.
Annie slept through the night at 7 days and nursed well, that is,until
THE DIET.
My formerly content little baby became "colicky" and screamed from 6pm until
she became exhausted. She awoke every 2 hours all night long and refused to
nap much in the daytime. It took dh and I a couple of days before we figured
THE DIET might have something to do with her misery. I dc'd the diet and went
back to eating "normally" and she reverted to her previous eating/sleeping
patterns.
