This is undoubtedly a trade name. And a trade name not available in
Canada. It may have a different one here. To help, a generic name is
necessary, and you may then actually find it in Hale.
Is this a drug which *must* be given IV or IM? In that case it is
probably safe. Is there no alternative? Ciprofloxacin, say, which
*is* compatible with breastfeeding. Could she not get something like
tobramycin?
The decision is the *mother's*. There is *rarely* ever a reason that
an antibiotic which is safe for the mother is not safe for the baby.
