I need some more information about an immunosuppressant called Azathioprine.
My resources list no information as far as breastfeeding goes. The mother in
question is nursing a 7 week old and will probably be prescribed this drug in
conjunction with prednisone for autoimmune hepatitis. Her liver function is
not up to par and she has been on this medication before, but not while
nursing.

The info on use in pregnancy is scary, listing several problems for baby
including immunosuppression, pulmonary problems.

Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks in advance.
