The main concern about this drug is that if the baby is jaundiced,
then there may be an increased risk of displacing the bilirubin from
protein, and thus more likely it would get into the brain.

If jaundice is not an issue, there is no concern about this drug.  If
the bug is sensitive to amoxycillin, there is no reason it would take
longer to get rid of the infection.
