Interesting.  Haven't seen this drug used for a long time.

Just as any other drug, only a small amount will get into the milk.
There is no guarantee of "no risk" for the baby, but why do we think
formula is safer, especially for a WIC baby, especially if the mother
has a bipolar disorder.

I would advise her to ignore the physicians' recommendations, and
breastfeed with medication if required.
