I feel I should share a conversation I had with a male Dr. a year ago.  I
was wearing a breastfeeding promotion tshirt and we started talking about
breastfeeding in general.
He told me"I am all for it, even though, it didn't work out for my wife,
but what gets me is those women who whip it out anywhere they please"
I replied" Well, it's not like she is doing anything wrong, she is just
feeding her baby"
The educated male response"Well if I walked around with my penis hanging
out I'd be put in jail"
I was shocked and responded" You must have missed some of your anatomy
class if you believe that the breast is the female equivalent of a penis"
end of conversation. end of Dr. patient relationship.
(I don't think this guy's thinking is isolated. I think I read something
simiar in a book sometime, too)

After nursing for the last 6+ years with my two kids, I am firmly
entrenched in the idea that breasts serve a utilitarian function primarily.
 If there is additional pleasure for my husband in my breasts, well so be
it.

I am also trying to lose a little bit of "winter fat" for my bathing suit
purchasing ritual but unlike 10 years ago I will not be trying to find the
smallest one possible.  I did get a Victoria's Secret two piece 2 years ago
because the bottoms had this bias cut flap on the top which is perfect at
hiding a few extra pounds around the tummy.

As for the top, I am all for the long, pendulous, forever lactating (it
seems)  breast as the sign of femine acchievment.
