We are putting together a policy for dealing with drug using or suspected drug
use in mothers at our hospital. Do any of you have any information on this or
would share your policies.   Also, if you have any good articles on this could
you E mail me.  I have read the March JOGNN which has two or three relevent
articles.  One article was especially good....on the ethics of drug policies
and pregnant mothers.

I also recently watched the Bill Moyers series on addiction.....it was
wonderful, very complete and thoughtful.  Have any of you had to deal with
this very difficult problem and the breastfeeding mother. The program helped
me to understand the extent of this devastating illness.
