The mother of a 10 month old called today, wondering whether there's any
connection between platelet count and pregnancy or lactation. She has a
platelet count of 142, which she says is 50% below her value of 3 years
ago. She was being monitored for possible Helpp syndrome during pg. Her
platelet count was 90 at this delivery, was as low as 70 w/ a stillborn son
in 1996.
I can't find anything, and am assuming there's no info because there's no
connection. Anyone want to comment? Are there mainstream or alternative
things she could be doing to bring her count up? Since this is straying
from lactation, please e-mail me privately (unless, of course, there
sometimes *is* a connection).
