HI All,
Who says that peroxide on raw, sore nipples doesn't hurt???? It hurt like
HE** when I did it because my Dr advised me to. Tried it once and never did
it again. Besides, I have learned, from where I don't remember, that unless
a woulnd is dirty and needs the bubbling action to clean it out, that all
those bubbles actually aggrivate the tender tissues and slow down healing.
Is this true? Has anyone else heard that? Anyway, I tell moms NOT to use
peroxide, but if they need to wash the nipples in something other than their
breastmilk, to use clear water, or a light saline solution. If it stings it
is too strong. But peroxide not hurt? They haven't tried it on their raw
sore nipples have they?
