I think number one is ignorance. If people knew (believed, accepted) the
truth about ABM they would work to overcome the other obstacles. So many
people, including those who have breastfed, have no idea how startling the
evidence is. One friend told me (regarding long term health effects,
cognitive development, etc..) "If this were true it would be on the news
every night." Another wondered why no one else had ever told her, especially
her doctor? A third said that since she had her masters degree in child
development she was quite sure that if it were all that important she would
have learned *something* in school about it.
