Yes, it does take time. Four years ago we were trying to figure out how to get
early postpartum moms to come to breastfeeding class on a family centered care
unit, and how to motivate postpartum nurses to facilitate this. At our last
lactation services staff meeting, we were discussing the need for a much
bigger room, or two sessions per day for the breastfeeding class.
