Kathy's reply made me smile at an old memory. My daughter's first was
planned home birth. A friend of hers who worked L & D wanted to know who
would then do the footprints? Kay told her since there weren't any other
babies to mix him up with what did it matter if he was footprinted or not.
Duh! I'm all for the non separation. Realistically it won't happen so
crib cards for easy ID are a necessary evil. Some hospitals lately have
been mixing babies up in spite of crib cards. As Helen says the crib cards
only ID the crib, not the baby! We still have along way to go folks, in
