Susan,
In my hospital, we have much of our education through self-learning
packets. The staff members complete a pretest, read the information, then
complete a post-test.
We, also, have articles of the month. If you read a good article, put
several copies of the article in a binder with a post-test. Post-test is
to be given back to you to correct. Staff members can read when they have a
few minutes. Of course, have the staff sign attendance sheet.
Inservices here are not well attended, so I completed a self-learning
packet on basic breastfeeding information to be completed yearly to keep up
competency on basic breastfeeding information. It can be revised as needed.
