An interesting item in the Pediatric Notes (Volume 22, number 24, page
94). There is a discussion of the gasoline additive MMT as a possible
health hazard. The problem is manganese which, in large doses, is a
neurotoxin. The CEO of the corporation which makes it is quoted in a
letter to the NY Times (no date given): "if you read the label on
formula fed to children, you will find more manganese is consumed in
formula than children could ever be exposed to during a lifetime of
MMT's use."

How is it that the formula companies are so untouchable?
