Pearl,
This mom could actually be asking you for permission to wean her babies
from breast milk.  Sometimes just repeating back to her what you think
she is saying may help her to figure out what she wants to do and why
she is calling you.  She may also be calling because she feels you are
someone she can turn to for a friendly ear.

Good luck with this mom.  I agree these calls are difficult.  Sometimes
these moms call back several times before they actually get to the point
of what they are trying to tell you.  Keep the lines of communication
open.
