Julius,
I find that pulling the baby in closer when they start to lose their
grasp on the breast prevents biting down.  If mom brings baby in very
close so that the nose is occluded, baby has to open her mouth to
breathe. Mom can also watch to see if there is a pattern to the biting,
as some older babies bite when they have had enough milk.  Taking them
off the breast when they start to play rather than eat will reduce this
type of biting.  If the baby is biting on purpose, to get a reaction
from mom, I suggest quickly taking baby off the breast (while trying
hard not to yelp) and replacing the clothing, so that baby learns that
biting means immediate loss of the breast.
