Met a Mom with a fussy baby today. Grandma was over from Ireland. Told me
this gem of a story:
"When I had my children in '50s, the doctor in the hospital was a very old
man who was convinced that breastmilk was the only food for babies. He
wouldn't allow any woman in the hospital to give bottles. 'If you don't
feed them yourself, you can't stay here,' he would say. "You can sign
yourself out of my hospital.'...."
Oh how simple life could be.....!!
