Good point! Few desert islands have cows, so cow milk would no longer be an
option. Hmmmnnn. Most desert islands out this way have plenty of coconut
trees and bananas. Coincidently, coconut gel and banana are two of the first
foods introduced to/discovered by infants.

I agree, and when I start to get too confused, I return to my "desert
island" rule of parenting: what would you do if you were alone with
your baby, and had no advice from magazines, books, doctors, milk
marketing boards, formula companies, and nosy neighbours?
