I called the 800# in the AB magazine and informed the person who
answered they were misadvertising, and breaking the WHO code, the usual
way to feed a baby is breastfeeding, the woman said "but not for 3
years." I could hear her gasp as I told her I had, and yes, many babies
do. I also told her I would not recommend the stroller to my childbirth
clients based on the ad, even though I used one with one of my children
years ago. She told me she would pass the message on to the marketing
consultants. I plan to call AB magazine to complain too. She sounded
young and I told her I didn't hold her personallly responsible, because
I was getting a little soapboxy. These media misrepresentations do that
to me! The phone # is 800-671-1701, for anyone who wants to call, too.
Ellen, in snowy Greenwood Lake, NY, where the spring storm of 10" snow
(more than we had all winter) gave me a chance to catch up on Lactnet!
