At the WIC program we stress that WIC is a SUPPLEMENTAL feeding program
and women who choose formula will need to buy additional formula once the
baby reaches about 10 pounds.
At the breastfeeding class, I ask the moms who have formula fed in the
past if there was enough formula and they all agreed that they had to buy
add'l.
This is very important, we need to make sure that we tell this to women
before they make their feeding choice....
