i realize that this is just hearsay from an hcp, but i have suffered greatly
from problems caused by this pesky hormone, relaxin, but i was told
specifically by someone in a white coat that the relaxin levels drop back down
to normal within a short time, a few weeks perhaps, after the birth of your
baby. now, as in my case, a problem caused during that time can persist (and
how), but the hormones are supposed to dwindling away. after all, they aren't
needed anymore after the birth, so why should they persist?

dr. jack forgot to say that they were just conveniently laying this at the
door of breastfeeding. if she wasn't breastfeeding, what would they think and
try for a cure?
