Hello all,

I need some group wisdom. Yesterday I got a call from a mother who said
her baby is in the hospital- Newborn- because he has a disease called Smith
Lemi Ortiz- I need to question spelling here. She said the doctors told
her the baby has a problem digesting cholesterol and
she can never put baby to breast due to a supplement the baby must
get. They told her she should put her EBM in a bottle and mix it with this
supplement. Has anyone ever heard of this before? What is the correct
name if you have? What about the treatment? It sounds fishy to me.

I do not receive all the lactnet mail because me e-mail doesn't work well.
Please e-mail me directly when you post.
