In a former life I worked in educational film distribution. When a special
interest or educational video is sold for $175 that price includes Public
Performance Rights, which means a license to screen the video for an
audience. When the same title is sold for $29.95 it is intended that it be
screened privately, or Home Use Only. They are most likely the exact same
video, just sold with different intentions and to different markets.
Of course, we could be talking bootleg birth videos here....I'm sure there's
a fortune waiting to be made... ;)
