I agree with Sarah. Living in Hawai'i with many cultures, I have
received phone calls from dads where the mom does not speak English.
I'll speak with the dad, then if there is a leader here who speaks the
same language, I give him that number, so mom can call if dad is not
around. Many times dads call for moms who are nursing baby at that
particular moment-----mom still hasn't got the knack of nursing and doing
something else at the same time yet :) Mom may also be having trouble
with positioning. I'll talk with dad who'll relay the info to mom.
There are also times where mom will be crying in the background because
of the breastfeeding problems. I do not have a problem talking with
dads. You can tell right away if it is a legitimate call or not. A
couple of years ago there was a crank caller phoning all the leaders
here, but it was obvious.
