Israeli LCs might be interested in an article in last Thursday's
financial section of Yediot Achronot newspaper. The writer discussed
the aggressive marketing tactics of the importers and manufacturers of
ABM. Nothing was really mentioned about breastfeeding but I was
nevertheless happy that the public now knows about the disgusting
marketing tactics that I've been complaining about for years. I always
tell my prenatal classes that the baby food industry is interested in
one thing - profits. I plan to photocopy this article and circulate it.
I'm wondering if in other countries, doctors and nurses can freely
attend "conferences" in resorts, accept gifts and trips abroad. If it
isn't exactly illegal, it certainly is unethical.
