EMLA  Cream is used for circs, but a recent study in Peds or J Peds, still
found dorsal penile block with lidocaine to be superior in decreasing pain
responses.  I have found (anecdotally, not a controlled trial) that EMLA tends
to produce penile edema, making the circ more difficult.
