I would have burst out laughing on this one, if it weren't so
tragically typical of altogether too many physicians' approach to
breastfeeding. Wean because of a white blood count!!? It makes as
much sense as wean because the moon is full. I would like the doctors
to produce some evidence that a low white count should be a reason for
weaning or the mother "weakening". The most common cause of a low
white count is a viral infection. There are other causes, some
serious, but please!!! Give me a break.
