As I was getting ready to leave the house Monday night my fifteen year old
cave dwelling son asked, "Where are you going, to your breastfeeding
meeting?" Right week, wrong night...but I couldn't help but wonder how
many adolescent boys could say the "b" word. It also reminded me of when
my daughter got to high school. At that time I was talking to the child
development classes about breastfeeding so of course Jill (the recent
newlywed) got asked if she was going to breastfeed. Her reply, "Only for a
year." Changing the norm? Please say yes.
