The geriatrics prof is wrong.  At worst, women who breastfeed have the
same risk as other women of developing osteoporosis.  At best, the
evidence shows that they are at lesser risk.

I recently gave a talk to the family practice residents.  Just before
me, they heard the "calcium expert" talk.  When I mentioned to her,
between the two talks, that I hoped she mentioned breastfeeding as a
preventative measure against osteoporosis, she owned that she hadn't,
but should have.
