Hi all, Been busy with my life and am catching up on my old digests, soo much
happens here every day and you guys are such a wealth of information.
Have a problem. I am still working with the Ohio Civil Rights Commision on
this Wal-mart problem. Met with 2 attorneys yesterday one a Civil Rights
Specialist and the other OLCA's attorney a nursing mother herself. They went
back to the commision to get some wording on our agreement with the Commision
and Wal-Mart. Who says by the way that they now are willing to sign . But
here is the problem they have not adopted any type of breastfeeding policy to
prevent other mothers from experienceing the same kind of discrimination that
these local moms have. I need a policy that I can present to the attorney
generals office as having been adopted by another company. We want to make
this as simple as possiable for these folks. A no brainer so they take the
ball and run with it. Any body out there who has a known policy or address or
phone number where i can get one that fits this, please send along. I will
try the archives also. Thanks in advance. Send along to my own e-mail unless
you think we could all benefit from this discussion. By the way there are 3
of these cases reguarding breastfeeding pending in Ohio right now. A probable
cause has been filed against the health club, the Commsion drew up the paper
work against Wal-mart and gave them a ridiculous amount of time past their
deadline to respond. It was not until we held a press conference and
threatened a class action suit that they finally were willing to sign. DEE
