If you were going to recommend a breast pump to the mother of a premature
baby who planned to return to work, what would you recommend? The mothers
I've followed have had excellent luck with M*****'s Pump in Style in these
situations, but have recently heard otherwise from an experienced LC in my
area.
Should I be recommending a hospital grade pump rental in this situation?
The LCs concern was that the Pump in Style was best suited for mother's
with an established milk supply and the hospital grade was better for
establishing and maintaining a milk supply. Is there that much of a
difference? Those of you who have rental stations or care for
breastfeeding moms of premature babies, what's your experience been? I
want to recommend what is going to be best for mom and baby, lactation and
cost wise.
