I recently read an article that condemned the USDA Food pyramid
recommendations as being racially biased, outdated and actually not very
healthy for anyone, regardless of ethnicity. The biggest criticism was
of dairy products. I have often wondered about WIC clients, pregnant or
breastfeeding, who do not choose or who are unable to consume dairy
products. Is there an alternate voucher system, or is the rationale
that if a family does not expend food dollars on these (expensive)
products the supplemental program is unneccessary? Just curious...

Regarding the study on IgA and exercise, my first response was, "So???".
It is a vaguely interesting bit of information, but (IMHO) with no
practical application whatsoever. Research for the sake of research.
