Hi,
My best friends granddaughter, Ashley, was born with a severe cardiac
anomaly 21 months ago. This charming little girl now suffers from severe
reflux, is tube fed formula and is anticipating at least two more
cardiac surgeries. Her mother is pregnant again, not due till July, but
she wants to breastfeed and asked the MD's at Childrens Hospital in
Boston about giving some of her milk to Ashley. They said absolutely not,
that she could not tolerate breastmilk. This same hospital discouraged
her from breastfeeding Ashley in the first place. As far as I know she
has not been diagnosed with any metabolic disorder. I would love to
share your story with this family and please share with us more positive
outcomes.
